The Fifine Tank1 is a dynamic microphone designed for home studio, streaming and vocal recording. It combines rugged metal construction with features that support clear and selective sound. The microphone uses a classic XLR connector, which allows it to work with audio interfaces, mixers or sound cards.
The Tank1 operates with a cardioid characteristic, which means it best collects sound from the front, while limiting ambient noise. This design will work well for recording podcasts, voice-overs and vocals, where you want your voice to stand out without unnecessary background noise.
You'll find two physical switches on the chassis - one is responsible for activating the low-pass (low cut) filter, which removes low noise, and the other allows you to boost the mid-frequency band. This makes it easy to adjust the microphone for different voice types and situations - such as boosting vocals in a mix or eliminating unnecessary tones.
Tank1 uses an XLR output, which provides balanced signal transmission - immune to noise and ideal for studio work. It requires connection to an audio interface or mixer, but this gives you more control over the sound and better quality than classic USB microphones.
The microphone's housing is made of durable zinc alloy. This ensures that the Tank1 remains stable during recording and reduces the impact of vibrations, resulting in clear sound without distortion. The 5/8-inch thread ensures compatibility with popular microphone arms and tripods, making it easy to mount in a variety of configurations.
