When sunlight hits a small solar panel mounted on the canopy of this biplane, its propeller will start spinning. Unfortunately, this plane won't take off yet: it would need a much more powerful engine, a bigger solar panel and a propeller to get it off the runway. This set is designed to spark a child's imagination and show them how solar energy works.
The model is assembled in about 15-20 minutes, the skills of a beginner are enough. The solar panel is already firmly connected to the motor, so no soldering is required. Children under 14 may need adult assistance.
Laser-cut parts from pure birch plywood are characterized by the highest precision. The model is assembled in just a few steps, no tools are required. Wood glue may be needed to better secure the parts (glue not included).
The airplane can be decorated and painted in your child's favorite colors! This is a great activity for a children's birthday party, technology class, or holiday program.
The toy works best in open sunlight, but can also work indoors using strong artificial light (50W halogen lamp).
Note: The toy will not work on a cloudy day, in shady areas, in indirect sunlight or under fluorescent light.

Brief assembly overview
Remove the kit parts from the box and separate the wooden parts. Assemble the parts by following the detailed illustrated guide. The wires to the sun visor are connected by screwing the screws with your fingers, do not use a screwdriver. The solar panel is fixed on the canopy, and the motor is installed in the slot provided for it. Wooden parts can be varnished or colored.
