The Lim-5 fighter aircraft was a Soviet licence Mikoyan MiG-17F built by the Polish aerospace industry. The commencement of LIM aircraft production at WSK-1 in Mielec resulted in a significant development of the aviation industry in Poland. Lim-5 aircraft were equipped with the WK-1F engine also produced under licence. The Polish Air Force received its first Lim-5 aircraft in 1957. A total of 477 aircraft were built over just over three years of production. The camouflage and markings of the model prepared by us refer to the historical aircraft, which is now a monument of technology.
The model of the LIM-5 (MIG-17F ) aircraft has been designed in a modeling scale of 1:32 and consists of 575 high-quality parts. All markings and inscriptions on the model are prints that will not rub off during use. The set has movable elements such as wheels and an opening cabin, in which we can place the sensational figure of a Polish pilot, equipped with a fusillade jacket with a printed rank and the emblem of the Polish Air Force. The camouflage reproduced from the bricks is particularly beautiful. The set comes with a display stand containing a plaque with the name of the set and the nationality designation. Thanks to intuitive instructions based on clear icons, construction is simple. The aircraft is a must-have item for all fans of aviation, militaria and military technology. It also makes an excellent addition to the Armed Forces, Cold War and Korean War collections. In this series we have also released LIM-1 aircraft, the Soviet version of the MIG-15 and the Czechoslovakian S-102.
The set has been entirely manufactured in Poland within the European Union.
