Each cable wire is individually protected by a hybrid protection system with a surge strength of 100A (8/20uS), providing a basic level of protection against surges in LAN cables.
The low value of wave reflections, extraneous cross-section and 4 x 125Mhz frequency attenuation, as well as the permanent connection of the cable shield allowed the PTF-64-ECO module to be classified as a product that complies with the Category 6 standard. which is important for large 1000Base-T LAN networks. Despite the fact that the most popular 1000Base-T networks do not use Category 6 quality parameters, the quality reserve of the parameters is important for the stability of their operation, since the number of interference signals increases in proportion to the number of LAN cables assembled. riser.
For devices powered by PoE, independent surge protection is built in between pairs 1.2-3.6 and 4.5-7.8. The PTF-64-ECO/PoE module is mounted in a dedicated PTU/PTF-6-RACK base, which can accommodate up to 4 different types of modules. The module can also be used in small installations and screwed to the wall, after mounting it in the PTF-6-Box plastic housing.
