Thanks to them, you can have an eyepiece of several different magnifications at once. These rings fit between the eyepiece and the 1.25" bushing, shortening the focal length by 0.81; 0.71; or 0.62 times. Although it will not replace several eyepieces, you will have the opportunity to perfectly adapt the existing eyepiece to your needs. In addition, you can screw in a 2" filter instead of the ring.
